Best way to get to London Colney

I asked this on the Spartan League Forum and someone suggested asking on here.

What is the best way to get to/from London Colney on public transport on a mid-week when traveling from London?

I see that Park Street is the closest railway station but it looks like a walk along a dual carriage way is required.

I ask beacause the mighty Kingsbury London Tigers are there on Tuesday night

Any info greatly appreciated.

Quite right, Laz - it would need to be picked up on Alma Road, next door to the station.

Logical - not really an option. It's a night game, and the last thing you want to do at 10pm is hang around for an hour for a bus that will take another hour to get to Barnet.

And public transport links from Barnet into London take ages.

Post-match, best bet is a cab back to St Albans City station.

in the lower reaches of the League .............about three and a half years since our last point.............. just over four years since we last scored a goal ................ a squad ravaged by an outbreak of beri-beri ...................... eight members of the Verulam school U 15 'B' team in the squad, and the top scorer from Lorretto School U.12s on the bench .......................Paul Bastock with a slight cough ........... attendances down to single figures: Gibbo, Knocky and the Supporters Club Committee...

Just when you thought that it couldn't possibly - ever - in your wildest nightmares - never, ever get any worse, that this here, right now is as bad as it could possibly be............

Right at that moment, with the good people of Kingsbury desperate for guidance to the land that is Colney ........

Along comes AFF trying 'humour'. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/police.gif" alt="" />

I have been reliably informed that the game is postponed pending us getting kicked out the cup for fielding an ineligable player in the last round.

Cheers for the info though

Wikipedia Kingsbury is a place in the London Borough of Brent, north-west London. Its name means "The King's Manor".

2 of the 3 original Sugababes are from there. It's not really something to be proud of though.
