not surprisingly!! there has been trouble over there and several posts deleted to the graveyard after 'you know who' decided to attempt to ridicule our club after wednesdays heroic night at welling. This in turn led to the resignation of one of their moderators 'Glen' who as we all know is a thoroughly decent and likeable chap...let us hope he changes his mind..

I have undertaken on that forum earlier to only post football banter and football related issues over there and would also ask for you chaps and chapesses to do likewise (banter allowed no defamatory..inflammatory and personal issues)

be appreciated by all I think and thanks..

Well said Unc. Doubt Glen will come back on the forums. He's a decent bloke and a good mate and works tirelessly for Canvey. Think he had been disillusioned with the forums for a fair time.

SU - Im treading carefully beleive me !! BUT, the guy may have a point based upon the logic that 'apparently' there were over 300 urchins there at welling t'other night (great, well done). Yet unless there's another big mob of Hx fans elsewhere in the ground the (excellent) photographs do not reflect even half this number. I stand to be corrected of course - but where some of you see 2 I can only see 1 (or were the pre match festivities responsible for the count !!)

when they scored their first goal around half of their main stand stayed seated and looked very unhappy.

The pictures taken behind the goal were of a small group of fans, probably the more vocal ones where i and the majority on here stand numbered around 100,we was sprayed around the ground.

I personally would rather all our fans stand together but for some reason or another this is never the case.

that is not a bite,it is an explanation,it is a well known fact that alot of our fans are lazy gits who choose to sit down!!!

I stood at the back of the new erith stand (and very nice it is too)

there were at least a 100 sit down riversiders in there.........another 40 in the old blazers stand and 150 behind the goals...LOS cannot help himself...as a disciple of 'you know who'...he is obsessed with our travelling support...

one of the welling officials sent an email to us...here is a little extract...

'I have never seen nor heard such passionate and loyal support in over 20 years of being involved in non league football, there must have been 300 of them in the ground and they sang to their team through their tears after that wonderful game had finished, I felt quite overawed'

Unc... Welling Fans and Club paid towards that, Its used by Erith but NOT their stand....
Erith are tennents, Welling got a grant of over 200k for the stand and also contribute a substantial fee in cash raised by the club and fans.

My own idea would be to have that stand used as a family enclosure for home games.
