Thinking back to the end of last season with Rikki and Billy Holland, how good would they have done this season? As for Parker, I need to see a lot more effort on the pitch to be convinced that he deserves to be there (or to sport the Brazil 70s-style beard and hair combo) - and a lot more goals!! 2?! and the one against Tilbury anyone of us could have got as the Tilbury side just gave up and waited for him to score it was that much of a certainty.

 

Don't think I'm just getting down on the players for the sake of it - I'm gutted we're not getting the FACup run we've got accustomed to lately (and I'm sure the prize money would have come in handy); I'm annoyed we're out of the league cup; most of all I'm really worried that we're going to come unstuck more and more, and then in the league itself and we'll miss out on promotion.

 

Back to the topic in hand, Janney is a great player, hopefully with more goals in him to come, and I think Ainsley is going to come on good real soon. We need him to.

i think billy and rikki were silly to go when they did,had they stayed they would of got their chances.What you have to question is.If they are both that good then what the hell were they doing in the esl before we got them????

with rikki,there is no doubt the bloke has talent but he is also very injury prone as we saw last season and i(personally)doubt he can last a season,a manager wants more than that and i doubt wether colin wanted to get rid of him but he seemed determined to want to go,plus i believe they didn't actually turn up to an f.a.cup game (with the fear of being cup tied possibly.if i am wrong then i am sorry)

As far as billy holland is concerned there is no doubt there he is a proven goalscorer but i for one was never his best admirer,he is quick but for me he was missing something and i think this was papered over by the fact he played in the esl last season where in all honesty goals were there for the taking.I do feel we could be short up front because they left but it was their choice not to and theres not alot we can do about it.As far as the league is concerned we are in a very good position and should we not finish first i would fancy us against any one from the two ryman 1 leagues to win the play off.

nice first post mate....you obviously don't know that we don't slag players off on the hx forum...but as you are asking... ricky is out for 3 months and billy has scored 2 goals since he left....
