Message from the Chairman

 

 

 

Ladies and gentlemen and junior football fans, I am delighted to inform you that following Saturday’s exciting game against Beaumont Athletic, I was elected as Chairman of Brentwood Town Football Club. I will serve the club to the best of my ability, and could not wish for a better time to take on the day to day running of affairs at The Brentwood Arena.

It is of course not a one man job and my thanks go to my fellow committee members and volunteers who give their time without so much as a murmur of disapproval will of course be around at the club most evenings, so please don’t hesitate to come over and introduce yourself and let me know what you like and don't like about the club. The best contact no for me is 07885 233210, and I like to be tucked up in bed by 11.00 PM.

My thanks also go to the number of first rate coaches that we have at the club, who give their time freely. Our position at the top of the Essex Senior League did not happen by chance, and I’m sure that I speak for us all in wishing all of our squads continued success during the rest of the season.

Last but no means least I must thank our two turnstile operators Les and Marvin who are always on duty come rain or shine. I know that Les has been at the club for over 50 years, and has certainly seen some changes. I believe that Les wants to sign some of Harry Redknapp’s old boys from Portsmouth when they have finished playing, so I’ll keep the cheque book ready.

Let’s all pull together to ensure that we get the promotion we so rightly deserve.

also - "Let’s all pull together to ensure that we get the promotion we so rightly deserve." - How do they DESERVE promotion . If the rules are who spends the most money wins or who acts like theyve already won the league after 6 games then yes you fully deserve it !!

i just looked at burnhams fixtures. before brentwood you have barking, concord, sawbo, bowers and hullbridge. brentwood a long way off then. plus you have the fa vase game. i guess sawbo is getting rearranged.

I was down at Aveley last night and the bloke there was saying how the Brentwood guys were bigging themselves up saying next year they are gonna have a good go at getting promoted from Ryman 1 !!!! He laughed about it though as he said Brentwood signed 9 former aveley players who took Aveley to a bottom 3 position 2 years running !!!!

 

The rest of us might aswell give up as theyve already won it havent they !!

yes smallsy not even thinking about brentwood mate , barking will be bigger , they have the nucleus of the squad which took them to the ryman 1 play offs 2 years on the spin.

 

CRFC - £1500- i think you are being generous id say easily £2k . Griffiths eats up most of that on his own !!
