I can tell you that Tatu is russian for lesbian!

 

I brought that Electic 6 song today as well as new singles from Inme (who are from Brentwood and always do a session on Phoenix FM), Badly Drawn Boy, Erasure and Levellers ...... and I remember them good old days CANV when them last two were in the Top 10 every week <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Did the Levellers ever have a Top 10 single, Thornsy? I'm not sure they did.

Got the Electric Six single last week, friends in low places, love it, never heard of Tatu though and if the Sun are recommending it, not sure if I'm interested.

 

Don't particularly mind the Sun, but on Bizzare, they don't share my music views, you could say we're at odds really.

SteveP - agree with what you say about Bizarre definitely. However, didn't Dominic Mohan once heavily feature the White Stripes??

On Badly Drawn Boy, thought that last single was quite a reasonable effort, album any good?

Don't know, Its just a single, I haven't heard it yet and it was only 99p so a minor gamble.

 

I've got a lot of time for Badly Drawn Boy now after hearing it was him who told Tom Hingley (when he was working as a teacher) that he should still be making music, then came Tom Hingley and the Lovers, then the reformation of the Inspiral carpets.

White Stripes are different, they're overhyped but very good, indeed I think Jackie White is featured on Danger High Voltage... I also like White Stripes cos they did a roof top tour sponsored by Nissan, you think they'd sponsor the Datsuns instead??

 

Perhaps good music's gone all corporate.
