I suspect that after you took it upon yourself to tell everyone else what was wrong with their efforts, everyone was waiting for you to produce the ultimate poster that would have the crowds flocking back.

I even thought about e-mailing you to find out when to expect the next poster, until I realised.. Those who can do, those who can't tell everyone else where they are going wrong.

Ed has now produced an updated poster available for download here please feel free to print and distribute.

Oh and Mr Pearce, if you have any more thoughtson the design keep them to yourself eh!

I'll keep my comments to myself; however what I said previously still applies..... nobody, or very few, are going to bother to download the poster, certainly not on a regular basis, from the official site because its far too 'ink' hungry. I'll gladly 'eat my words' when I begin to see posters appearing in prominent places around Gravesham??

I would gladly have attempted a simplified version, similar to what was suggested by ‘Fleet Fanatic’, had I got the software to do so, had I advanced warning of any match changes and finally had I been given access to the official website.

In answer to your comment, Mr. Holden “I suspect that after you took it upon yourself to tell everyone else what was wrong with their efforts, everyone was waiting for you to produce the ultimate poster that would have the crowds flocking back.”

(a) I was not alone with my views/comments about the proposed poster.
(B) There was nothing wrong with the original poster other than it was too complicated, not clear enough, too ambitious and most important too ‘ink hungry’ and therefore too expensive for the majority of supporters to bother to download on a regular basis.
© If creating a match poster was sufficient to “have the crowds flocking back” then it would have been done long ago, the problems with regard to that question run far deeper than that………as well you know!

Why oh why do we have to make even the simplest things so difficult and contentious??

As I have said previously, if other clubs can create posters that are easily download-able, (St. Albans & Kidderminster being examples), then why the hell can’t G&N.

Created with Microsoft Word and a mouse right-clicking on pictures and logos on the official website, saving to pc & with no specialist software.

Nice to see you took Dave's comments on board.

In light of FF's comments, if the poster's so ineffective, why not make your own one?

As I said before, surely the club could get some fixture posters knocked up and distributed ( or some of us could distribute them ?). We have a Commercial Manager, surely this should come within his remit ?

Cheers,

Also a valid point Hirsty.

The production of posters should surely be done by the club themselves anyway.
