Great stuff chaps, any chance for one for the Chelmsford match, a bit much I know but would be nice rather than a must have.

Thanks <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Aren't the posters aimed at potential Fleet fans rather than those who already support the club?

sorry thought game was saturday week,so people not at this weeks game, and not members of the forum may not know who and where, but as I said I made a mistake.Being only a cup game we are in them so much that people expect us to play in them every other week so are well aware of the situation. and will find out from the reporter when the result is printed.
With attitudes on here no wonder the attendences are so low your afraid to try anything new.
still saves my ink, time, and extra beer money thanks for being so negative about attracting fleet support.

The point I was trying to make was that people who haven't been to Stonebridge Road before, or whose support has lapsed, are unlikely to make an away game their first Fleet match ever/first Fleet match for a long while.

Its good to see that somone has followed my suggestion about putting the poster on the club's website, having recommended that we replicate St. Albans.

Well done to whoever designed the original poster, however without being a killjoy, I have to say that the poster 'is far too far over the top'

The idea of making the posters available on line, is surely to encourage as many individuals, companies, shop keepers, publicans etc. etc. to regularly download a poster and put it on display in their premises.

To do this the poster needs to be as clear and as simple as possible, if for no other reason so that the poster, if displayed in a shop window for instance, can be seen by passers by without the need to go up close to the window and read it, something most people quite clearly won't bother to do!

Once established and regular downloaders become known, some sort of recognition needs to be made on the website for those businesses etc. that are supporting the club in this way.

The problem with the initial poster is that it is far too complicated, contains too much colour and is not clear enough and whilst not wishing to put it down, because I fully understand the sentiment, it is far too over ambitious and quite frankly far too clever.

Because of the colour content, I cannot see many people taking the trouble to download it on a regular basis, which is obviously what is needed and should be encouraged, purely because of the cost. Each poster will almost empty a colour cartridge and once people know that they will cease to download further posters. The idea will fail almost before it has had any chance to get established.

In summary, good that posters are to be made available for download, good that someone has made an initial attempt to design a poster, but more work is required if this is to prove to be a success.
