new management

Having been away for a few weeks i have only just read the comments on our current manager possibly departing, this cannot happen soon enough as far as i'm concerned & lets take the club & give it a massive step forward by appointing George Borg as the next manager, he's record in non league football is second to none so appoint him sooner rather than later or risk losing him to another club at the end of the season.

Hmmmm, it does seem that certain people do want a change.

There have been some strange decisions made over Gary Calders reign, I must say. The most drastic being putting all the team squad on the transfer list in October / November last season. Whilst this seemed to work for a period of time, it does seem that his bluff was called.

Not only that, his treatment of certain "talents" that have been on show this season, does lead one to wonder what is going on BUT how much has George got to do with this? Would things be better? I dunno...

My own personal feelings agree with yours. I think Gary has done all he can down at New Lodge and maybe it is time for a change....It's a gamble ("Gambling is for fools...but thats the way I like it....don't forget the joker")

think it's a bit rich for a canvey fan to be critical of a club over spending only to finish 2nd! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Not sure about legendary, but Borg certainly has a few managerial "pots" in his collection. Won the league with Enfield, and also took them to the 3rd round of the FA cup. Won division 1 titles with Chesham and Aldershot. Achieved the impossible in actually winning 2 cups when manager of Harrow! Failed to win premier div with Shots, but did win league cup.

Can't imagine why anybody would want to got to Grays if Woodward left - he bankrolls the club to the extent that if he leaves all any manager would be able to do would be watch the players leave as they fail to get paid.

Excellent record and I really did not know of his achievements

I am aware of his attitudes

For me legends of the non-league game are the likes of Ted Hardy and the ex-manager of Woking

The winning of the league title that takes you into conference or winning the Trophy are the big achievements
