Having watched Sporting Bengal stuff Croydon 3-1 in the Kent League Cup last Wednesday, it would seem a strange time to jump ship.

I suppose players could dual register. One is Kent League and the other is Essex, one plays midweek matches on a Monday and the other on a Wednesday. So it's possible.

League Cups throw up some strange results, last night's included. This can be due to apathy or teams fielding triallists, ressies etc.

That said Sporting Bengal were battered 9-0 in the league by Beckenham Town only two weeks ago, and lost 0-3 at home to VCD Ath on Saturday.

Just spoken to "Hitman Hickey" from Basildon Utd. Apparently, they have a brand new team with some very experienced players (A couple were supposed to be ex pro, but hitman couldn't confirm). Anyone playing Beaumont in the next few weeks could be in for a nasty shock. I'm glad we've played them already
