That's most kind of you Horace. I think we met (and HTFCew) last season when we played you in the FA Cup. I believe we both had different roles in our respected clubs at the time.

Now if I can just organise a wedding for messrs Redford and Cooper to attend on Saturday my work will be done.

Think I know who you are then, Manorborn - hope that we were able to help you out at the time!

 

Sorry, but Messrs Redford and Cooper, although both of them WOULD go to a good friend's wedding on a Saturday, don't have any to go to this Saturday. Ryan is in a "barren" spell, having failed to notch in two consecutive games (so only got 20 so far!)

Coops, however, is in the groove. Between them, they've scored in every league game that one or other has played in this season! But we must respect your "class acts" (I mean like Micky)

I thought you might have guessed who I was. Indeed your team's generosity on that day was appreciated.

Your forwards have been tearing up trees all season and I expect them to be all over us like a rash.

We will therefore have to give HTFCONE the Alex Fergusson hairdryer treatment to put him off.

 

Anyway whether we win or lose 25-0 (note it has to be 25-0) I will eat my hat (I will buy a fedora for the occasion). It does't matter as in 12 years time we will be in the premiership and enjoying the luxury of playing our home games at the newly opened Wembley Stadium.

 

Looking forward to Saturday already and I haven't even mentioned meeting the delightful Paula.

Yes Manorborn, That was the worst HTFC performance of a very disappointing season - no disrespect to your boys. We shan't be as generous this time!

 

You may be disappointed as Paula hasn't actually confirmed her attendance yet - suspect Rhodes has upped the ante!

Heard them all and made them all!! Trick with excuses is to chose the right ones for the right times.. football players that say they are going on holiday during the season are just dumb... best one I've come across was a certain ex team mate now at PB who said he was working away in Israel of all places for a week. Working away rather than holidaying can be the difference between the 'Straight Back In Club' and on the bench!!
