To say i'm not a tad nervous, or that I am not aware of upsets would be a lie, i am a gravesend fan lol. But to be fair i'm looking at their ex-conference/some canvey players/moneybags jeff king team and seeing them currently 11th in the "ryman premier". Hardly setting it alight are they? We on the other hand sitting at 6th, good full time squad. I'm quietly confident i suppose

 

Looking at their messageboard is quite funny, they reckon they are gonna walk all over us, some of their fans think they have already won the game, 1 prediction : city 3 -1 gravesend!

Alot of Chelmo fans seem to be like that. They reckoned not so long back they were a Conference team in all but name!!!

 

Seem to be saving their best form for the Cup.

F*ck em! They're just like Grays when they go on about going up and beating everyone when in fact they have more chance of Jeff going on a diet than going up.

 

Big headed teams never end up acheiving anything. Grays found that out, Dagenham found that out a few seasons ago and Chelmsford will eventually realise that they are just not good enough.

The fact is we have got a chance of being promoted this year but so do a lot of other Clubs.Chalky Boy why do you think we have no chance at this early stage of the season?

it seems to me that Chelmsford do have a chance of getting pramoted but with the team they have they should be running away with the league. they have a group of players that have constantly proved thet they can perform well above the level they are playing and sitting 11th in the table already 8 points off the top place is not the place you should be.

Thier definitely in with a chance of still winning automatic promotion as we know those players are caperble of putting on a unbeaten run together as they did here with was it 28 games? but the majority of them are the same players that underperformed against the like of Burnham and Salisbury.

Chelmsford are well and truely underperforming IMHO with the players they have and the league thier in.

would you lot of ever got to the conference without kingy,just think it is sour grapes that he has gone,and in all honesty with the money he pumped into your club to get you where you were i think he is right to leave if he thinks he is not being supported by the local community.I personally have little time for the bloke but if he was at our club i would thank him for what he done and wish him well!

Dont really care about the 'sour grapes' comments all the time coz there aren't any. It's to do with the way he left the club. I'm not gonna go into it with you coz i cant be arsed with the responses that will come back that include a lot of smart ar*e comments where you actually think you know what happened and what the right answers are coz you clearly dont.

the only reason you want the underdog to win is because you can then come on and berate us G&N fans.

 

In my opinion Canvey have every right to feel aggreived in the way King left. Shame, cos he left behind a conference surviving canvey side, for a mid table(ryman premier) chelmsford side! He wont get his dream(which must be a league side, or he wudnt have left canvey). The song will once again reign supreme:
