And as I pointed out at the time, there was no guarantee we would have won a home match against Haverhill Rovers, for example. So from what perspective do you consider it to have been a bad draw?

Well where shall I start, at the end of the day though you're out the Cup so it was a bad draw. Had you drawn Haverhill Rovers at Parkfield you would have possibly been looking forward to a home tie with Nottingham Forest or Millwall with television cameras present, that was my point. How much money did you make from the actual game yesterday if that's not top secret.

You obviously didn't read my last post carefully enough. There is no guarantee we would have beaten Haverhill or anybody else at home and we could have easily still gone out in front of a much lower crowd and received a much smaller payday for our fantastic efforts in getting to this stage. As I told you before the draw was even made, Woking away was one of four or five ties that would have been absolutely perfect for us.

 

As for what we've made, Woking have 14 days to submit the paperwork and send me the cheque so I won't know until then. All I know is that we receive 50% of the admission money paid by a gate of 1,443. Therefore, it will bring in roughly the same as a home league gate of around 750.

I don't deny all of that Potters Bar Town and well done on your excellent Cup run but Woking away wouldn't have been one of my choices had Kentish Town been in your enviable position. I would have taken Haverhill or another side below Conference level at home and taken our chances in an 'all our eggs in one basket' attempt to reach the first round proper when anything can happen.

Well, that sort of thing is all down to opinion. At the end of the day, you have to take what you're given though and make the best of it.
