Wat a Draw??

Potters Bar Town - I'm afraid that I'm going to rain on your parade as I am at a loss as to why you and others on here feel that it is a good draw for you, you could have got a far easier one either at Parkfield or away which would have given you a great chance to get through and Woking away won't be that lucrative either. If you had to draw a Conference Club then Oxford away would have been the pick but I just feel that Woking is a bit of a damp squib considering what might have been.

This shows your knowledge of football (or lack of it) at the higher levels, Rhodes. Everyone at the club is very happy at this draw. The Chairman and Manager are quite ecstatic about it. There is every chance of 1,000+ people turning up paying at least £10 per head. 50% of that is £5k win , lose or draw. We could have drawn Haverhill Rovers at home and they could have done to us what we have done to Margate and Wealdstone meaning we would be knocked out in front of a much lower crowd and recive a much lower sum of money for it. Plus an away draw means less paperwork for me!

You could have been drawn at home to Quorn all but guaranteeing a First Round proper berth, a mention from Gary Lineaker on Match of the Day and a far bigger financial windfall.

Kings Lynn were not drawn twice. When Barnet were drawn, Trevor Brooking misheard the number (called out 53, instead of 3) and read out the wrong team. This clearly confused the person operating the graphics on the telly and caused it to go haywire for a couple of minutes. However, there was nothing actually wrong with the draw itself. Don't think you'll see Brooking introducing the second round draw!

Right, please accept my humblest apoligies <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/bow.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/bow.gif" alt="" />

I was at the footie club and couldn't hear a thing and left before the last few draws were called.

Still, good draw for Lynn in the next round and the possibility of them going through again has got to be good!!!

Could be the game of the round and quiet possibly the competiton!!!

PBT, is that right as on BBC website, a bit of a barnstorming finish by your boys with two goals in the last 10 after being 3-0 down?

I assume Woking took their foot off the gas at 3-0 allowing Potters Bar to come back with two late goals and make the score look respectable. I make Burton Albion v Tamworth the draw of the first round, a massive local derby.
