Boylan on his way?

But wouldn't Boylan going have to wait for the transfer window in January ? If that's when Maclean is going , what have Grays lined up for Jan , then , by way of replacements ??? Takes me back to the end of our last season in a way - when Liam let all our "names" go , and there was no little trepidation on all our parts wondering what the future of our beloved Fleet held ?

Hands up all you boys who think Grays won't be able to field a 5-a-side team......go on Mikefleet don't be shy.

Puting my speculation hat on.

Charlie will stay for another season after this, maybe 2, due to him having to prove the rumours that he isn't injury prone. No-one will take the risk. Charlie has been unfortunate with injuries in recent years but 1 goal in 8 in the Premiership is, maybe not the best return but is something to work on.

Freddy Eastwood will leave Southend in the January transfer window, they'll then pluck Maclean from Grays leaving the space free for Lee Boylan to run riot for Grays up front.

Thats what I think anyway.

Further down that thread it also says Aaron Maclean will be gone in January ... ??? Anyone know what's happening on that one ? If that part is true , can't see them letting Boylan go if his natural position is becoming available .

maybe they're talking about him being sold higher up the leagues in the transfer window? Can't see them not renewing his contract and letting him go or anything like that. If they're resigned to losing a 12-goal striker already, does that pose a bad sign for us? I suppose we'll hold on to Charlie tighter though, with no Boylan-calibre striker lined up as a replacement.
