All very amusing I must say, incidentally HTFC One 'the Baron' had a good game on Saturday, for our Reserves.

The "Kentish Town Incident" as it's now being called, has escalated into global proportions. Apparently some one overheard the PM say "twat" when he heard Bush's Quarterback comment, and someone called Brown leaked it back to Washington. In the last hour, it has been reported that Bush has withdrawn his offer of retirement in the USA for Blair, and the PM has, in a fit of pre-retirement pique, withdrawn all British troops from Afghanistan and Iraq!

First offence was the pen so correct decision by the ref. As for the "goal" who really knows, all I know id the lino said he gave it because the ball touched the back of the net. That being the case how did the ball bounce down!?! Bizarre decision but fair result overall as I keep saying

It was a toughie, ball was struck hard, hit the bar, hit the floor, hit the bar again i think and then came out

Pretty quiet... he nearly went to hide in the dugout, it was even funnier when HTFCOne tipped the shot round the post in the last minute! Wish I'd had the foresight to video it..

I found the woman (who seemed to be the girlfriend of one of the St Mugs Subs)who came behind the goal to tell the Hertford Supporters to stop singing 'as this wasn't the premiership! '

And Matt Maskell will get a very warm 'welcome' in the return fixture after he turned round and gave the Hertford Supporters a two fingered salute after St Mugs equalised.

Makes me laugh though. Would love to know who that was as I don't recall any of the subs girlfriends being at the game! What about the guy who told a St Mags supporter to be quiet or else!Great thing was after the game all the players had a drink, chat and a laugh like the old friends that they are. Thats the great thing about local derbies in non-league. looking forward to the return fixture already!
