Walshey

Recommended Posts

I think we could really do with him back, even if he doesn’t make the first team, just keep him on the bench until we need him, I’m sure he can cope with 30mins of running about, he is a quality player, and I would like to see him back!

City man , in what way is Walshey not good enough

for this level??

If he has lost weight and fit enough he is more then good enough for this level.

The lad is class, and i too would love to see him back!

Surely he was one of the main reasons we are where we are now.And that was being unfit!

Look I don't wat to be too critical of him as I liked him as a player however as you asked I feel taht he would be for this level too slow, not hard working enough, and he can't get up and down the pitch.

Based on what is he good enough at this level having never played at it ?

I think at times he was great for us last year however I would not put him down as a main reason and was lucky to be given another chance by CL having left before in my oppinion.

SOME THINGS BEING SAID ARE QUITE PERSONAL.THE FACT'S ARE SIMPLE.WHEN WALSHY PLAYED WE SAW SOME OF OUR BEST FOOTBALL,IF HE WAS'NT SCORING HE WAS PROVIDING.HE HAS THE TECHNICAL ABILITY TO PLAY HIGHER THAN THE CONFERENCE,IF THE MANAGEMENT HAD BEEN ABLE TO GET HIM FIT WE WOULD'NT BE RUNNING OUT OF SQUAD NUMBERS

just like to see good football played,it's our best chance of staying in this division.not to keen when bazza kicks it seventy odd yards to hacks, have'nt seen us create many chances like that.took the hint about the CAPS now take my hint about the training you ai'nt got a clue

I 'ain't got a clue' ....hmm that sounds a well thought out comment. Actually having played at semi-pro level and holding an all be it out of date F.A coaching badge I'd say I had a pretty fair clue on training thankyou very much. If you have attended the majority of games this season then you would know that despite poor results the team has in the main continued to try and play good passing football whenever possible.

Not sure what your agenda is with this player but it's a waste of time as to use your words he 'ain't' good enough.

Well this has generated a little passion, chaps, although it's good to see that the passion stops short of becoming personal. Just.

I think that 'jls' might be Ben's Mum, actually cityman, rather than his agent. I don't know anything about football but I do know that Ben was around 22 lbs overweight last season, and, you're absolutely right, his level of personal fitness is down to him. As Manager and Coach, Colin and Nick show some promise and I have absolutely no doubt that they will have told him to get Diet Coke when 'going large' with the three-times daily Big Mac and fries last season. He didn't, it would seem, and it wasn't good enough.

We differ on two counts, cityman. Firstly, Ben Walshe has one of the sweetest left foots err ... feet in Non League football - he makes Adam Wilde look like me in comparison, and if he has shed the weight and re-gained fitness, then I have no doubt that he could 'do a job' for us at The Mighty Saints.

The second thing upon which we differ cityman, is that I know that we are St Albans City.

jls. If you are his Mum, get Corn Flakes instead of Frosties for t'lads breakfast, and one boiled egg rather than several fried and sunny side up. Cut out the pastry completely - it's a killer.

He spent a season with us in the Conference actually.

Although you are correct to imply your supporters can't know for sure that he isn't good enough for the Conference, it is equally true to say that you can't be sure he would definitely be good enough either.
