hey gav...did you know that edgware have 2 guys that go round watching your future opponents....someone i know that watches the local clubs around our way said he met a fella from edgware at the V&E a few weeks ago...he was taking notes to report back...apparently he said how serious edgware where taking things and promotion is a must !

....
Really? I have head that we have 'someone' who goes to 'spy' on our forthcoming opponents. Dont think there is anything wrong in doing your homework, do you?

I wonder how many other clubs at our level go on 'spying' missions? Maybe they all do !

As for promotion being a 'must' no one has mentioned the P word at the club, just keeping on doing what they are doing and we should be there or thereabouts.

not bad, but think there are better teams in the league.

I knew you would say that. Cant think of many teams that would go away from home, lose thier keeper, then play some excellent football, win the game 2-1 and miss a penalty!

The league table does not lie, we have also won 5 of our 8 league wins away from home, and have won our last 7 games in all comps.

Still very early days, but as I thought before a ball had been kicked, Hertford?Harefield and ourselves will be there or thereabouts, you can add Leverstock to that list as well.

Do you know of any other clubs in our league that do it? or as I said, do they all watch opponents?

I guess once you have played them in the league, you will know their style, unless they have signed a large ammount of new players, such as Haringey did last week.

At our level, FA Vase matches you would want to send someone out run the rule overr the team you are meeting up with.

At St Mags I know we used to occasionally send out someone to watch sides but that was usually only for big games or if the sides were playing locally.

Reckon most managers would like to do it, but it's difficult to find someonewilling to do it (someone who's capable too). We have done it for "big" matches. Also we have the benefit of having ex players like blue06 and BBB, and the injured Neutralfan to report for us!

Apparently, Kentish Town leave "no stone unturned" in their preparation for games!
Potters Bar Town - Well you said it, look how the War and Peace, Don Revie like, dossier we received on Brimsdown helped us on Saturday, we knew exactly what their players were going to do on the ball some 30 seconds before they did themselves.
