Harefield and Hertford stumble as Edgware march onwards and upwards!!!!

Recommended Posts

Clealry you wouldn't have noticed me - one of hundreds of freeloaders in the VIP seats opposite. At first I thought it was Tamworth who were the opposition, but that was the year before v. Burscough. Went three years in a row, but you ar ethe only person on the far side that I remember form any of the games -must have been the drum! Ther eweren't any other 6' bondes with drums, in Canvey shirts, were there?

Your win was excellant - most teams would crumble with their goallie off so early.

I have a theory about us! This week has seen the start of softer pitches, and we've had two games in quick succession where our opponents have actually been able to catch, and clatter, our fast men. Or is it that we've just played two consecutive dirty teams?

Horace, I hope you are not implying we are a dirty team. I felt that it was an evenly contested game. We may have conceded fouls but Ryan Redford was lucky to stay on the pitch when he nearly amputed the left backs leg at the knee! As for the result I thought it a fair one. both sides had chances to win the game and HTFC1's save prevented us from getting all 3 points! I don't believe either side edged it.

It was a rather nasty one as well, so pre meditated you actually saw in Matrix style slo mo! (Just my poor attempt to mimick the great Rhodes legendary writing style)

Come on NF

You would have to come from planet Rhodes to be able to do that

Superbly marshalled by former Leicester City and Gillingham midfield ace Junior Lewis (pictured), they kept their shape and looked a class act, never losing their composure and playing quality balls into feet.

As a result of the victory, Edgware moved up to second place in the table, delighting their travelling support.

....

They must have seen me jumping up and down after we scored our goals

I think its a great report of the game from Edgware's behalf. Saying we looked a class act and using that line in the headline

What a bad result for us, we were shocking. played against 10 men and a left back in goal for 80 mins had 1 real chance in the 90 min and scored. we played no football and fair play to edgware the defended well and deserved the win.

gavin i would have come and introduced myself but i went straight home. was not in the mood to hang around.
