The game yesterday was of complete contrast to Margit and daggers! If we play like this from now on (tall order) then we will beat most teams! From the other posts you will be able to see that we massively outplayed them for parts, had a free kick from Jacko ruled out! had two penalties (definitely one) not given and had the superb influence for 30minutes of Tostao!! what a difference that man makes! Liam played well and in fact nobody had a mare. Brilliant pereformance whci deserved points!

In the second half this was indeed true. However in the first GNFC were completely outplayed. I reckon ford gave them a right bollocking at half time, because the players came out with a renewed vigour, and very good work rate. Tostao defo gave you the edge.

All in all, a very enjoyable first GNFC experience for me

Yeh i'd like to know where that post has gone to SteveH gfc can anyone shed any light?

Basically we played well throughout especially second half. The result was by no way a fair view of the game and by the end it was either gong to end 4-2 or 3-3 unfortunately the first was true. We deserved something from the game but thats football.

We looked good when we knocked it about on the floor and got it out wide to Tostao. As Richard C said we looked brighter when he was on.

If we perform like yesterday in our next two home games i'm sure we'll get 6 points.

In addition to what has already been said I would like to make the following points.

1. Aaron's long throws were effective especially the first one which led to Jimmy's goal.

2.Why did an obviously unfit Nick Burton start the game? His withdrawal after only 2 minutes deprived us of a substitute later in the game eg when Aaron who was clearly in pain had to struggle on as we had no one else left to bring on.

3. Tostao was electric when he came on ( but too late once again ).His crosses for Liam especially were brilliant. Doesn't Andy realise that this is one flair player who really can deliver?

4. Liam was incorrectly ruled offside.

5. We had a good penalty shout turned down.

6. Had Wilkerson not been injured early on I think he would have tipped the ball which led to Yeovil's 1st goal over.

7. Our defence gifted Yeovil their 2nd goal.

8.Yeovil were better organized in the 1st half and were usually faster too. It wasn't until we showed passion in the 2nd half that we were actually better than they were for large spells. If we can show this again we will undoubtedly pull away from the bottom of the table.

According to Andy's interview on RK, Nick was injured in warm up, but he didnt want to enlighten Yeovil to the fact that he had a problem with his first choice player, so h decided to start Nick, fully aware that he would substitute him almost immediately.

I still dont quite understand the logic, but that was the explanation he gave (Forgive me Andy, if I have misquoted that)

As for the missing thread, it appears that all postings between 11.47 am yesterday and 1.14 pm today have disappeared - presumably a problem with the Board as a whole - perhaps something to do with the recent changes that have been happening ??

i agree at first it seems strange but i think i see his logic. If yeovil found out then they would realise that (obviously) a new player would have to come on,one who wouldnt be such a regular player, therefore a weak spot, then they would have concentrated their attacks more to that area. Good thinking by andy i think.

We certainly stood off them for the goal, but take nothing away from their movement, it was fantastic football. They guy that crossed took it down quickly, glanced up to see Wilkerson slightly off his line, and still managed to change his mind and play a crossfield ball to the edge of the box. It was a good goal.

Yeovil are by far the best team I've seen this season and they fully deserve promotion ahead of Doncaster and Chester.

I agree Stu we definitely saw the best team in the conference on saturday.

I thought Yeovil were pretty good as well
