Mason aslo performed well

I thought he was quite poor today.

I disagree, he had a decent game, thought all of them did actually- Davies' passing was awesome at times.

I was right next to ref and he booked Errol for the kick (fair yellow IMHO)

Errol and Wallace looked good today.

Best game ive seen WALLO play for us (put that in cap as i know he reads the site- good game mate)

Knew somebody would say that - i genuiely thought Mason was poor today especially in the first half - he was slow, couldn't pass and looked afriad to tackle.

I though that Mason had quite a good game today--in fact the whole team did.

I found the rescinded sending off at the end most confusing as I too thought that both the 4 and the 6 should have gone, but what the hell--a very good performance against a team we usually lose to, and 3 important points.

Great performance and most importantly, result.

It's great to see a Slough team who actually threaten to score goals again (well at least until the suspensions kick in anyway!) I'm hugely impressed by Telemaque (thank goodness Westy snapped him up <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" />) and Davies. If there's one thing which can be a difference-maker at this level, it's a bit of pace, and Telemaque and Davies have it - particularly the latter, who was my MOTM today and who I think is turning out to be a real find. I also think they will bring the best out of Wallace, who had the best game I've seen him play for us. We got the bit of luck we deserved with the keeper's own goal after great work from Wallace to put the ball onto Errol's head.

From what I could see, both red cards looked justified, but there was a lot going on. Will still be a shame to be missing Errol for a match though. I agree that the referee sent off the right man in the end, but the really stupid thing for me was seeing him signal for play to continue with his linesman still making his way back across the pitch from where the incident occurred - he almost got in the way of play while running back across. Bizarre.

If we had McCleary, Woodruffe, Alexis and Harris all available, we could be getting results like this week in week out, but the current team is showing great heart.

Let's hope this continues at Staines in midweek. We need to go on a little unbeaten run now to gradually push our way back up the table.

Great to get three points yesterday all the team deserve a pat on the back we played well for the full 90 minutes and just kept hacking away at Billericay and it paid off.

Wallace definateley had his best game for us, Errol was awesome he never stopped running i have never seen a player in so many areas of the pitch, Davies was great again, Wilko brilliant and Drake pulled of a couple of good saves. Well done lads keep up the good work.

Great result. I thought all the players played out of their skins today.

With both our central defenders booked, they still went flying in. There were none of the silly defensive mistakes.

Errol and Wallace chasing lost causes, making Ricay make the mistakes.

Drake had an excellent game, and must be congratulated for not racing the length of the pitch to join in the fracas at the end.

I spoke to McCleary before the match, he has shin problems and is going to be out for quite a while. The sling was due to a kitchen accident whilst preparing a chicken for dinner - Knives and thumbs don't mix !!

Let's keep it up at Staines

Excellent stuff - Errol and Wallo do look to be working well together after just a few games together. If we had a full squad without all the injuries I would really fancy our chances to go on a run of games unbeaten. We do need a few players in to cover the injuries and it will be very hard to maintain that level of performance until then.

I thought 1-11 were great yesterday - nice to see them all respond well at the end and it was a good moment clapping them into the dressing room at the end. Has to be said there seemed plenty of commitment there at the moment.

Just to add - what a header by Sledgehammer. That was truly unstoppable.

an excellent result yesterday i loved every minute of that game a well deserved 3 points.

thought that every player had a good game, especially telemaque (though how he was going to miss the open goal i have no idea!!!) and davies, and mason too, i think that dodging some tackles is now part of his game and shouldnt be used to ruin what was otherwise a good game.

thought that wallace had a great game winning a lot of headers and holding up the ball etc.

the defence held strong, granted billericay had a couple of chances hitting the woodwork twice but we closed them down well most of the time, but the luck was with us yesterday.

fantastic goal by daly, slightly lucky with the second but wallace did great work to win it.

will be a shame to lose telemaque but it was inevitable after the punchup that he was going to get something from the ref. i think that there had been a lot of dangerous tackles in the game so something was going to boil over at some point.

well done boys, up the rebels fingers crossed we can do it again on tuesday!

Interesting article on the NLP website.

They nearly got it right - just got what actually occured incorrect !

"Only three games in the Ryman League Premier Division on Saturday due to the FA Cup,but there was plenty of action near the end at Stag Meadow between Slough Town and Billericay Town.

Slough started the afternoon in the bottom three and received the boost of a goal straight after the half time interval from Steve Daly.

Five minutes from time, however, it all kicked off. The sequence of events began with Errol Telemaque (pictured) being credited with the Rebels` second goal, although most thought it was an own goal by Billericay keeper Ronnie Worster.

As a Billericay player grabbed the ball out of the back of the net in order to get the game started quickly, Telemaque tried to wrestle the ball away.

The usual scuffle ensued but it got a little heavier, resulting in the referee sending off the visitors` Steve Heffer and producing a second yellow card for Telemaque. However, after consulting with his linesman, the referee recalled Heffer and dismissed Jamie Dormer instead!"
