He had time and should have positioned himself correctly. as for all that stamping imaginary divots would he like to stamp on the head of the bloke who put the first one passed him as he was out of position and at fault for that one two. Not entirely true. I had the pleasure to attend Villa vs Spurs yesterday and despite how Match Of The Day presented the match, Villa were all over Spurs and Robinson probably kept them in it until the own goal.

Look at the video, Robinson was perfectly positioned to kick it, if it didnt hit the divot. Robinson wasnt to blame here. One very good point is that Neville should not have done a backpass that went in the direction of the goal.

 

That was a crazily bad bounce there. You cant blame Robinson for that. He couldnt have stopped the ball after it hit the divot. After he'd realised it had passed him it would have been too late. Hed be trying to catch up with the ball from a standing start with his back to the ball. Hes down a second from the start. Its nigh on impossible to have stopped that. Neville should have been more sharp about it and passed better...away from the goal but towards Robinson.
