Never watched it tonight as I was travelling home from work, heard they were poor though. I saw the second goal, one a circus clown would have been proud of.

 

I think McClaren will get a lot of stick for changing things around but you, in my eyes, can't fault it. They were poor on Saturday and received some stick, if the players aren't doing it you have to change things around. Thing is do they think they're better then they actually are? I don't know all the answers. I know that Frank Lampard is a quality player though who is going through poor form at the moment, form is temporary, class is permanent. I don't know how many Chelsea games he has missed over the last five years but it's no more than five.

 

The best thing to come out of it though was after the game, I watched about the last ten minutes. They (Gary Speed and Andy "why doesn't he ever talk about Scotland" Gray) were talking about Wales. Speed was trying to make a point that if Wales lose tonight then they are not out. The Scottish oaf spoke up and said Gary "they're out", Speed disagreed. They then went to a break and as the programme title screen came up all you heard was Speed say "Well I can't say yes can I?" <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Who do you mean ? Neville for not playing it wide of the goal ? Or Robinson for missing a ball that bobbled ( albeit from a hole that he probably made on the six yard line !) over his foot ? Or was there divine intervention ?

Just as well it Cronin didn't suffer the same indignity on Tuesday night. I may have been the only one left in the ground !!

 

Yes, Boreham Wood....I had forgotten about that...maybe sub conciously tried to erase that game from my mind ! Good day out though, apart from the game !!

That Boreham Wood goal will always stick in my mind, it does when the ball is passed back to our keeper.
