I was stood in the Swifts bar last evening, convinced that, out of the shadows would come this, broad shouldered, big man, proudly wearing a huge badge that said, Sidney.

 

But alas it wasn’t to be, another day perhaps.

To be honest, I find them (Heybridge) an OK bunch. I get on with Mick and Andy...but then again I get on with everyone.

Oooooppppssss a bit of a [****!!****] up on the "quote" system there YidClaret.

 

The majority of CCFC supporters appear to not even like their club and are a little unfair on their more reasonable comrades. For example, there was one on the Soapbox who said that he appreciated the 8 years that CCFC was at New Lodge...went on to say that without the likes of Maldon and Billericay, where would CCFC be now....

 

....only to be abused as a PC softie... amongst other words that we are just too polite to utter on this forum <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />

This is my point Gazza about some fans not thinking things through clearly. Without doubt we may not be in existence if it wasnt for Maldon and particularily Billericay. Most of us who visited New Lodge were treated in a way that made it feel like home for us and are looking forward to our visit in December.We will always be thankful for the arrangement(even though it was Commercial)and have some good memories of the place. In fact for some of our fans it was the only place that they knew as home before our return to Chelmsford

I won't comment on Tuesday but just to say my welcome at New Lodge is always excellent, Ron and Joyce and others including TC, Gazza, Andy have built up a friendly hospitable greeting and not forgetting of course Mr Len, always ready for a chat and trust you receive the same from us. Football rivalry is one thing but having a good time and establishing friendships is the order of the day as far as I'm concerned.
