Metcalfe on the move

According to Maidenhead forum, Mets is now a Hanwell player. With all due respect to them I think Christian is still good enough for a Premier division club. Obviously Eddie told him there was no future for him at the club but with Eddie gone I would have thought Mets would be an ideal player to bring into the club to take some of the pressure from Wilko who is having to play every match at the moment

Would totally agree. It would be great to have Mets back. I really didn't understand why he was let go.

I thought it was due to fitness. He sustained a pretty serious injury last season which put him out for a long time, and I guess Eddie couldn't guarantee him regular first team football because of it, partly because of the budget. He wasn't getting games at Maidenhead either, so I guess he's dropping down a level to get back on track with a view to moving back upwards. Good luck to him.

wilko is an awesome player but i think he is past his sell by date and that mets would be ideal to take that position over.

agreed would be good to have him back but i doubt that he will be willing to leave a club he has only just joined
