I have seen his goals, and he's one of the best finishers around, maybe ever, brilliant target man too. but he does not make something out of nothing in my opinion.

WWay and what ppl are saying is that he does, some of the goals he has scored have come from nothing and he has done this time and again. Rooney is just starting and has hardly scored for England so saying he will give you this and that just isnt true.

In rooneys defence the start of his england career was much better than shearers ever was and i expect him to get better and better plus they are 2 different players in terms of style i pefer rooneys style to shearers i suppose.

Agree mate Rooney has the potential to a legend, score more than Shearer and give more than Shearer to the team. At the minute I would go with Shearers record ahead of Rooneys possible one.
