Dave Collins is released

Dave Collins has been released. This decision wasn’t made lightly, but with the arrival of Danny Hill and Chris Whelpdale, it was felt that Dave’s opportunity’s to make the first team have now become somewhat limited.

Dave Collins is too good a player to be sidelined or playing reserve football, so it was decided in the best interest of both player and Club that Dave move on.

 

Dave has done an outstanding job for us since his arrival from Redbridge, his attitude and commitment to Billericay was faultless.

 

A Good footballer, A nice lad, from a nice family, thank you Dave, and good luck..

shame, as I really liked him. Never really got a decent run in the team in my opinion, when prehaps he should have done.

He deserves to stay at Ryman Prem Level he is a good enough player.

Good player, but we're midfield heavy and it's not really a surprise that we've had to let someone go. Good luck to him, no question he'll find another club soon.

I suppose it was on the cards, but still a shame.

 

I believe Dave is good enough to play at this level. I hope someone makes him an offer.
