Anticipation

I do realise that it is still very early in the season,and things may change.

I must say that at this moment in time,that I am very much enjoying the feeling of going to the match knowing, or thinking that we have a good chance of winning.

Rather than the feeling I had last season,of attending the game hoping we did not lose,and a win was a massive achivement.

Well done to the team and the management,and long may it continue

Winning is always important, but to be honest regardless of the result if the team, relative to their abilities at the time gave their best, its always been good enough for me.

 

Like yourself I have a feelgood factor this year and I am always looking forward to fleet games, next season the wheels might fall off as this is the nature of football, look at the Happy Hammers, they excelled themselves last season, this year and they are just starting to get at the manager and the staff, would that be really fair on LD and his team.

 

Dont worry, it will not happen!!!!

I think the only thing that can bring us down is if Charlie gets an injury like last season. We'd still do alright but we'd fall a lot.

I suppose in some way even though we dont want it to happen, we are all waiting for the wheels to fall off the trolley.but as you say it's one game at a time,at sometime we will have a bad run of one or two games, as long as we do not get despondant at those times, all will be well hopefully <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/bounce.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/bounce.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/bounce.gif" alt="" />

I think that'll be one of the biggest tests this year. If/When big players miss games/underperform, and if/when we have a dodgy period, it'll be a real test of the squad's character as to how they respond to it. Hopefully, the character shown when we've been behind this season will still stay strong, but it remains to be seen with such a young squad. Fingers crossed, the hunger Liam talked about will work its' way into dogged determination and we'll have that magic bouncebackability- I love that word!

We saw this at the Cambridge Game, no DeBolla or Jon Keeling. So we are certainly capable of overcoming big teams, even with key players injured.

After saturday's showing , and their current form and squad , I think Cambridge are more of a big name than a big team . Just my opinion .
