keeping the support

Recommended Posts

Ater another bad preformance yesterday,do you think we will be able to keep the same crowd numbers when it is wet and cold, also when people are paying eight pound to get in which is one of the higher gate prices in the league, and there is no passion with in the team will they keep coming back,if you wanted to see school boy errors why pay eight pound when you could go to the park and see it for free.

What a stupid thread!!!

True yellow & Ribbit a fine example!!

We are bang on target and we have seen some cracking football at the Lane this season.

OK we have seen poor performances to, never twice on the trot!!!

I would rather watch these youngsters learning their craft and enjoy their development, than the over paid dross we witnessed get knocked out of the FA cup by Burnham last year!!!

We will maintain our gate at around 300+ because ther are enough people who are genuine supporters, that like me revel in the journey we are on!!!

When did anyone on the playing staff last season really get up set at a loss and really get excited by a win.

Batch and Co top team!!

If we can keep this lot together until they gain some experience we will p^ss all over the likes of Mercenary City, Billachurch or Hornaricay in the next few years!!!

Despite our poor form recently we're still in 7th place just a few points from a play off spot. If we can get a bit of a run of unbeaten results going we'll be in a very good position.

Some clubs around us do have games in hand over us though. We moved up quite a bit from before yesterday's game, but we'll be hoping that those ahead don't take maximum points from their missing league fixtures.

Hornchurch and Sudbury both still involved in the FA Cup.

I've rather have points in the bag than games in hand........expensive lesson a few years back when we had 8 games in 11 days, and Farnborough pipped us.

GWR though was a fine lesson learnt by our young team, but my worry is that physcially the GWR players were more matched to the stature of our own, allowing us to compete purely on tactics, strategy and ability. I've no doubt our boys have the skill and the motivation to succeed, but it appears most of the squads in this league have a lot more physical strength.......once we've got that, and can maintain the spirit, then we can build some real momentum. I really enjoyed Saturday, and its that enjoyment that'll fuel the support.
