A few of the old players such as Greggors or Mc Gee, could make a big difference to our season!!

 

I wonder how much we would need to drag them over??

macca is moving back to cornwall soon, so he wouldnt be available anyway. from the reports ive heard, you just need a bit of consistancy. although that is very difficult with a young squad

We give away a lot of silly fouls and do not get many!!

 

 

We run with the ball, and do not move when our team mates have it!!

 

The problem is we will get conned!!

Yep, we'll have 'em back! If we could pay their wages, I'm sure we'd be up for it. We just need some experienced players at the moment to steady the boat.

I bet the current players love to hear what confidence you have in them! Your in a different position now, your players are playing for you and all learning. (from the sound of it) How about you just accept this season as a rebuilding period and get behind them!

Everyone keeps saying 'you seem to forget you're not in the Conference anymore', but that's tosh, 'cause we know we're not and we don't expect to roll over teams, like a lot of people expected us to. We're quite happy to finish mid-table this year and worry about promotion next season, or even the season after that.

There's a difference between moaning because they didn't put in the effort and moaning because they aren't good enough. Some of our players aren't giving enough effort.

You have only mentioned consistency nothing about effort! Just get well behind them, caning them is hardly going to help! Besides thats the managers job? there young give em a chance!

if any of them are lacking in confidence - criticism wont help.

i remember when the team got promoted to the conference thinking, how will they cope with losing. this season i thought the same about these boys. it has been said before they are young, still learning etc. i feel the best i can do is support them. and let john sort things out.

I'm not saying people aren't entitled to an opinion, just we should all reflect on the impact of what we say.

I am with you we have a fantastic team, with great potential, but they are still learning, we always knew that it would not be easy.

 

However a bit of maturity and guile amongst them would help them develop and I think, improve our results.

 

I certainly would not be saying they are not good enough because I think they are!!

 

As footballers they are well capable, the bit they are lacking is the stuff that comes from experience, learning of the trade!!

 

 

A perfect example the fittest and fastest are the celebs, old Rushie pops up drags his 40 something grey haired old frame between two youngsters and shows some guile!!
