Well done for a good performance. Nathan, now that you've broken the goal drought lets have a hat trick!!

I thought Chris Whelpdale was excellent particularly as he was not match fit. Two footed, a good crosser and at long last we have a long throw specialist!!

Danny Hill looked very composed in midfield and passed the ball around really well.

Great goal by Matty, bit of a shame that he didn't make the starting lineup but for us to have a strong eager bench bodes well for the rest of the season.

And then a sooty urchin tumbles down a chimney & LMU flys off under her parasol, never to darken this board again.

Well done to all the players and management for Saturday. Always easy to say that following what could have easily been an 8 goal drubbing! But, this has been coming (imo). Sure we will not win games with that sort of margin too often but we look to now have (with our new additions) people who can unlock and create. Was so very pleased for Nathan. This is a team game and they have all worked hard without too much reward thus far, but as i have said before, the players and management all know that we as supporters are 100% behind 'em, and Saturday showed just how much team and fans really do have this attitude of win, lose, draw TOGETHER !

As for the baby of the team (Ronnie) playing U18's last year, Good on yer ! A keeper WILL make mistakes, but we can see he is proving to be a competent keeper.

It was a fully committed and deserved win and hopefully will give the boys a load of confidence.

Oh and now for the laugh part...We now have a long throw in ! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Well done The Town !! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/applaus.gif" alt="" />

can we keep the thread to football please.

Great result, thought that cole looked good and chris seemed to do better in the 2nd half when he was a bit more relaxed.

Thought our keeper looked good, far more confident than a player of his age usually is.

Well done.

Good performance, i left the ground delighted on Saturday. Ashford are a poor side, and you can see why theyve conceded so many goals, but when weve been scoring so few goals lately its very creditable to put 5 past any team.

Cant be bothered with a detailed report, but was pleased with all the new players, again pleased with Worsters assurance, pleased that the players managed to turn rather flat atmosphere into a happy lively one by the end of the game, and finally delighted to see Nath score!

Good stuff lads, roll on Saturday
