We heard Clapton were turning the tide, the pitch had been done, the team were improving, the future was bright....what b*ll*ks!

 

As I have said before the club will never change until ceratin people and situations are changed!

 

We should be awarded the game because once agin Clapton have been suspended due to finances!

 

We haven't got a home but at least we have some respect and Dignity at The Manor!

Have to say that things looked a bit desperate when we went there in August. It would be a terrible shame if Clapton went under, but it don't look very promising.

 

At the end of the day it would be a pity to see a club with the history of Clapton disappear, or am I just a sad, unreconstructed old git?

Must agree no one wants this once great club to die,but there are people in charge who dont care less what happens to the club,players or staff.Unless these people are removed it will stay the same.Clapton could become a solid base for many local youngsters but its same old story of lies lies and more lies.I feel sorry for players and management alike who are promised the world and get [****!!****] all. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

You are dead right, but I got the impression when we were there that the only people doing anything down there were doing it because they had to for whatever reason, not because they really wanted to, seemed as so it was a case of if I don't do it no other b*gg*r will. Whatever, it's still a shame.

Smallsy we have tried to get a ground for a few ears but we always hit dead ends. Myself, Kirk and Larry have tried everything. With a ground I'm sure we would progress as a club.

..but on a serious note, I cannot see what is wrong with you and Clappers getting together to discuss a merger. Makes sense to me. You lot are nomads, they are bumbling along - just. It would give you a home and much-needed stablity...
