Cambridge Match

What did the lady in question look like ? Was she drop dead gorgeous ? If not, then the gentleman concerned should put his foot down and attend the match or boot his girlfriend into touch ( metaphorically speaking ). There is no need for that sort of talk Wilson !!

Cheers,

On any Saturday afternoon, there are hundreds, if not thousands of teenagers trolling around, bored, not doing much.

Perhaps the club can think of a way to tap into these potential fans, say by investing in a small stall/stand on one of the malls for a few weeks.

It could be showing videos of recent games, sell club shop stuff, etc.

Worth a try?

I would never get through the interview with Harry.
After all, he moaned about my posting which praised Liam.
I think he doesn't like me!!!

It's not you I don't like Gary, it's your post's.

Would you be willing to be one of those to help sell the stuff?

As for my new PR manager you're hired. Now think of a new Sig for me, the old one's a little dated.

I can't imagine people saying that they must go to watch GNFC because the food is so good ?

Quite the opposite I think.

I'd have to be starving to eat at Stonebridge Rd. The food is terrible. After having eaten the excuse for chips that they serve I now know what evil tastes like. I don't know who it is cooks the stuff, but I imagine that they have no sense of taste, smell or sight (and probably hearing, or else they would hear people complaining about the cr@ppy food and do something about it)

Gary you completely miss the point....

I'd prefer you not to be negative, up until last Feb you were not, then it got really cold and you were. The summer came and the negativity continued with you moaning about us not being able to put a five a side team out in the middle of May. The season didn't start until August and were not in a five a side league but there you go.

The signings were being made and your mood picked up a little and then when our season begun you turned 180 degrees and went in the opposite direction. I’m often negative about things regarding our performance as are many of the people I watch the game with but we take things into perspective.

Over the last couple of seasons we have had a really good start which was followed by a disappointing winter. We have also had a good start this season but yet to find out what follows but the difference with the last couple of seasons our team has been part time, this is the first as a fully full time out fit, lets just wait and see how things go.

You can say what you like Gary, be negative or as positive as you like as regards to Liam, the team or the club but comments like some of the tripe you came with in this thread were a little far fetched.

“Unless there is a major cash injection into the club in the summer, together with a number of quality signings, the club could freefall into meltdown, with spiralling costs, tumbling gates and a relegation battle.

I am not saying this WILL happen, but even you must admit this scenario is highly feasible.”

Okay so this comment I did agree with a little, I wouldn't have over exaggerated it like you did but I can see what your were saying. So with that in mind then and seeing as we didn't get a massive cash injection into the club over the summer (leave Austrian Airways out of this) is it not about time we congratulated the manager and perhaps admit you might have been wrong?

Talking about Burton Albion game...

"I'll be there, and I won't be surprised if another poor display is responded to with some verbal’s aimed at the bench.

It is going to be a sad last competitive match for some genuine stars such as Skins, Macca?, Jay? Slats? Jukebox?, Johnson? Moore? Jacko and so on.

You've got to love a few immature mindless verbal’s...

"Don't get too disheartened, Darren, I know it is agony watching Fleet in their apparent death throes, but it cannot be very long before LD either falls on his own sword and resigns, or is shown the door, due to his failure to improve things. Either way he will need to have the summer of his life and make some extraordinary signings if things are going to get better, both on and off the pitch.

I would imagine season ticket sales are at an all time low awaiting developments, which will not help the cash flow through the summer."

We've got an international company as our main sponsor, just signed a deal with the best local rag in Gravesham, been on Sky and you've gotta say although they were there to lick the [****!!****] of Martin Harrison we almost stole the show. Does Liam deserve a knight hood?

"My vitriol against LD may have been curtailed, but my sentiment remains. I still believe he is the wrong man to take us onwards*, and I , WVN, RR and RR have expanded on our reasons until it hurts. Perhaps a new Chairman at the helm will see that since Boxing Day a sequence of P22 W5 D5 L12 F18 A30 = 20 points @ a max of 66 is really a poor show**.

See you Monday for some fun and to see a real Fleet team."

*What do you think about him now?

**Whoever is the chairman should be able to see that.

"I have to admit, I may have been a tad callous at first*. I’m trying to be a little more persuasive in my postings, using sound arguments to back up my thoughts**.

Funnily enough, I see very few posters on here who actually thinks LD has turned out to be a good manager***."

*Only a tad?

**"Chatham Gary makes move in to the world of comedy" shocker

***You've found one, moi.

So then you weren't happy with the performance last season but you are this. Yet the manager is the same, the only difference being is that last season was a "real 'Fleet team".

If it isn't already clear Gary I don't really care what you put, it's the over exaggeration the makes me laugh. Well done for thinking up my new signature though, "I'm trying to be a little more persuasive in my postings, using sound arguments to back up my thoughts", and on your first day as my new PR manager.

Now I'm going to lay down.
