Generationsports...it was a good move!

Preseason many people were unsure of what this company was doing running our reserves/un18's along with an academy at the ursuline school.It seems that it was as great move by Mr Piper and as we can all see it is to margates benefit that these guys have come along. The Under 18's were bottom for most of last season, now they are currently standing tall in 2nd place with many of their players knockin on the reserve team door. The reserves are unbeaten in the league and top of the division, this time last year we didnt even have a team.

 

I would like to thank the generationsports guys for all their hard work. I believe that is Tom Hickman,Phil Fennell and Mark Weatherly who are running the teams, lets hope there here to stay! Good luck for the rest of the season.

I think its unfair to compare last season with this season as it seemed last year no one wanted to know the 18s.They turned up week in week out with for Margate with no future,no training and no pitch to play on,using the pitch outside the ground nearly all season(Tivili).I would agree with the way it is set up now and the people running the 18s and reserves,I hope Tom and Phil will be in charge next season and not step down as it can only get better for Thanet and Margate.
