England Match - tomorrow?

Hi,

 

Looking forward to my second visit to Gravesend tomorrow - are there any pubs near to the ground (or your club house?) where I can watch the game?

Not sure on segregation for use of the clubhouse, would have thought it would be ok - but the Plough pub directly outside the ground will have the football on if not. Use the clubhouse if it is open for you - sure it will be!!

I understand that there was some thought of moving the kick off to 1:00 because of the England game but it was left at 3:00 so people could go straight into the clubhouse to watch the game.

I would think that would apply to Cambridge fans as much as ours, your money would be just as welcome. Not sure about segregation either but there were plenty of Grays fans in their a couple of weeks ago.

Thanks for the replies .. Im sure that segregation wont be an issue, the CUFC fans enjoy a bit of banter during the game but are a friendly bunch with no trouble makers. I'll have my kids with me, so hopefully we'll get in the clubhouse or the pub.

A police presence is daft .. at Forest Green we had no segregation, fans were together trying to out-sing each other! And no trouble. At Tamworth last week, no police, no trouble. In fact its years since I can remember any trouble with U's fans ... see you all in the club house, I'll bring an England top too, just in case!
