"Cambridge United boss Jimmy Quinn has further strengthened his squad with the capture of midfielder Ben Sedgemore.

The 31-year-old has joined the U's on non-contract terms after leaving Canvey Island at the end of last season" Good player could have done with him staying...

All the best to Ben. A top player and a decent bloke.

See he scored against York tonight in a 2-1 victory.

Surplus to requirements I think was the term used.

It was the Caretaker Manager that signed him a Rushden and as they seem set to announce their permenant Boss any day now, he was probably deemed the same there.

Notice on the Kettering forum actually, that they've sent Neil Midgley out to Cambridge City and he's got 9 goals in 9 games this season.

Joined Kettering now apparently, he'll slowly work his way back to us. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Not surprised he has joined Kettering. Another club near to where he lives.

Same here. Midgley to be honest was never a wing back. His best position was up front or just behind the strikers so we never really saw the best of him.

Thought he always gave his all in every game he played.

I saw Sedgy today at the Braintree v Havant play off game. He is now playing for Havant but was injured so played no part in the game.

Great bloke. He was asking how things are going at Canvey. Tried to persuade him to come back and play for us next season!!!

Was also good to catch up with Wayno as well. Thanks for the beer mate, hope to see you at the presentation evening.

Agree with Rich. He's a quality player and far better than the Ryman League.
