Well for example the Liverpool v Newcastle game of a few years back that had everything including the Collimore hat trick was end to end stuff but that pales into insignificance compared to the game at Brimsdown.

Out of interest Bob, do you prefer playing in an average team in a better standard or a good side at a lower level?

plus collymore didnt even score a hattrick if my memory serves me right
Blues06 - Well you know your football I give you that and I hold my hands up, Collymore only scored two that day but I think laid on the other two:
'Thereafter the goals came at a rate of nearly one every two games including a double in that never to be forgotten 4-3 victory over Newcastle United in April '96. With the score level at 3-3 it was Collymore who slammed home the winner in the dying minutes to settle what has been described as the game of the decade'.
I still feel strongly however that the Brimsdown game made it seem like a drab 0-0 draw in comparison.

Who thinks it incredible that this thread has attracted 1285 views so far and has stretched to four pages in little over a couple of weeks whereas other threads on individual games peter out tamely after a few days with just a handful of views. The same applies to our legendary pre-season friendly with Hertford in August that is still the talk of the town over two months later, what does that tell you all about the interest in the Kentish Town brand.

Krooner - I disagree, if you go through all the posts on the thread there is a lot of serious banter and genuine interest in the game, I bet that Brimsdown v Kentish Town was the first result everyone looked for at 4.45 last Saturday even if the likes of Potters Bar Town and Lato would never admit to that.
