So farewell..........

.....Rob 'Norro' Norris, I see.

He showed some promise that lad, but I didn't see enough of him to firm my view. Good luck at Kings Lynn from me.

[P.S. Message to the Commercial Manager: Get the phone book out and do a mail-shot to everybody named Norris in the City offering authentic, original Conference shirts for sale. Subject to the response, try 'Morris' next and get a biro.]

We could always sign one of these...

JON NORRIS (Forward)

Forward who signed for Ryman Division One South side Egham Town in the summer of 2002 from Burnham.

JORDAN NORRIS (Midfield)

MATT NORRIS (Forward)

MICHAEL NORRIS (Goalkeeper)

RICHARD NORRIS (Midfield)

Richard is a talented midfielder whose performances for Marine prompted Crewe Alexandra to splash out.. etc

Yes, 10/10 for effort, Webbo. The late Johnny Morris.

Nonagenarians are unlikely to be the most likely candidates to purchase a named and numbered Saints shirt, but it's good that you gave it a nano-second of thought.

Wait! Norro wore the No 21 shirt. An ideal 'coming-of-age' present. Memo to the Commercial Manager: Check the Registrar of Births Marriages and Deaths, look up everybody called Norris or Morris in Hertfordshire who was born in 1986/7 and mail-shot 'em first.

I'll waive my usual commission in the event that sales follow this suggestion. 'Doin' it for the City', etc.

It's not mine to sell, mws!!

[if it was, it would have been sold three times over by now, and probably en route to Sothebys - I never quite get full value. Still. Leave something in the deal for the next man is no bad motto.]

Have word with the chap who used to drive the red tractor. Mention my name and he'll add 10% to the price. Here's a tip: Buy your own biro.

Strange as it may seem AFF, I don't actually know the chap who used to drive the red tractor. Don't actually know anyone at the club. Only ever in email contact with HM for the programme. Always find it best to stay just another anonymous punter coming through the turnstiles - then it's not a problem when I upset people as I seem to have done in the FGR thread! Bu may have blown it by giving away a bit too much here. And also perhaps a bit obvious when Junoir wears his Reading short on the CP terraces. Time to change identity perhaps?

He's very approachable, Mws. Steve Eames. Club Secretary and various other Official positions. In the boardroom on matchdays, or at the end of the dog and bone 24/7.

I'll look out for the 'Kyocera' [sp?] shirt and the Mars bar next time. You could change your name to Sozzo?

Me? It's a good job nobody knows who I am.
