New idea to encourage the players

Have thought of an idea to encourage the players and talked it over with Tam tonight and the idea is as follows:

The supporters place money into a general kitty (currently standing at £200 at the moment) which will be split depending on how the team do during the year.

If the defence and goalie keep 25 clean sheets in cup and league games this season they will split half the kitty.

If the stikers/midfield score 75 goals in league and cup games they will share the other half

What we are asking fans to do is offer what they can to boost the kitty. Any amount will be gratfully received and will be controlled by the MISA.

If either of the targets are not reached this season (God forbid)then the kitty rolls over to next season.

The aim of this is to give a bonus to the players for doing well and will not be used for anything else.

If anyone would like ANY part of this idea to be explained let me know and I will try my best.

Great intiative, but should the club not 'officially' be promoting this type of sponsorship.

Maybe some supporters would prefer to sponsor clean sheets and/or goals scored.

e.r £10 per clean sheet.

50p per goal scored.

If 200 fans adopted this at 50pgoals scored, and we scored another 80 goals this season, that would bring in £8000 but individually cost just £40.

Again, i appreciate MISA is equaly 'official' but just a bit disappointd that the club do not seem to be taking similar initiatives to get money in via commercial activity.

If they are, it is certainly not very high profile.

The idea was only raised about 10 days ago and was going to be put to the board. However then floated it to see if other fans wanted to contribute before taking it further.

As others seemed interested we have left it with Tam/Keith to be responsible to collect the kitty money.
