Ramsgate Vs Dover

should've gone to gate reserves but thought rams v Dover might be entertaining. poor attendance from fans an not the most exciting game. Little to choose between teams though shams had the better opportunities. Shams fans thought they had it in the bag in extra time before Dover equalised and won on certain death penalties after fine shoot out. So, out of the FA cup and now the Westview to an below-par Dover side made up largely from reserves according to their fans. Takaloo up to usual tricks and should've got a booking, Otherwise game nothing to write home about although no doubt Wardy will say we wus robbed!!!

I thought it was a very entertaining game.A good cup tie.Ramsgate fielding a large proportion of first teamers whilst Dover had but only a few out there. Ramsgate should have had this game sewn up,missed too many chances & were unlucky with some, hit bar & post a couple of times each. Dover on the back foot a lot of the time but did enjoy some forays into the Ramsgate half & had a couple of chances themselves.Keister raked his studs down an opponents back when having been given the free kick in his favour.Silly silly man.Typical JK. Dover down to 10 men with 30 minutes of normal time left.Ramsgate couldnt break down a hard working Dover side though as I say had the opportunities.Extra time Rams scored just before half time of extra time. Dover pushed hard in the final 10 minutes & a great well taken volley in the last few minutes of full time got them back level.Penalties converted well by most players of both sides but Dover managed one better.Dover worked their socks off against a very attack minded Ramsgate. The home side will be kicking themselves for letting this one slip.

To watch the players & the fans at penalty kick time it could be seen that this wasnt just a "micky mouse" cup. They all wanted it believe me.A crowd of around 400 with(listen to this) segregation & and it seemed like about 20 stewards in attendance.

Fans from both sides were heating up more & more as the game progressed so maybe the keeping apart of fans was a good move(mind you ALL fans were allowed into the bar half time so things could have kicked off in there,no segregation there) & I left immediately after the last winning penalty had gone in wondering if both sets of fans might end up getting at each other. Hopefully this didnt occur.

A really good tie I thought. Ramsgate should have had this game but the doggedness of Dovers youngsters proved the deciding factor in the end plus some that were more capable of taking penalty kicks than others. Could have gone eiher way obviously but Dover prevailed. Impressed by a couple of Dover youngsters out there tonight.

Well I was supporting the club by watching the reserves last night. Great performance by them with a crowd of about 80/90(tho paying customers were about 66. Trotty there too which was pleasing to see.

I agree but I got in with a concession as I would'nt of paid full price. Anyway, no harm in seeing how the other half live now n then and sometimes its good to go and watch as a neutral. Anyway was v dissapointed as I expected more from Dover fans who I figured would be up for a bit of retribution after missing out on promotion.

Your choice to go to Margate last night but dont you dare say I or any other true fan dosent contribute to this club.I didnt realise we all had to have your permission.I go where I want & when I want.I dont need to explain my reasons for doing so so I wont.

Alan you are just [****!!****] stirring. Go back to thanking everyone & everyone about everything. Thats what you are good at.

Remember I didnt start this but I'll be damned if you or your other followers of the "I dont like cookie" brigade are going to accuse me of not supporting this club.If it pleases you I will donate the entrance money I would have spent at Hartsdown to the club next time I go.I know its not all about money & that there are other ways to help but I think I have done my fair share of that too.

I will go to see a game of my choice whether its at Ramsgate or Dover or Folkestone. The fact that its at Ramsgate dosent mean a thing except to mention that I didnt go there as a neutral I went there as a DOVER fan for one night only hoping to see the Rams get a beating. They didnt get that but the result was satisfying to me nevertheless.

I like to watch a game of football wherever it is,full stop..That game was my choice last night. You chose not to go there, fine but dont tell me or anyone else which game to watch.Incidentally I have watched two under 18 games this year Can you say you have all done the same.

Cookie where in my thread was I stirring, I was just stating a point that I supported the club watching the reserves. If you went to Ramsgate that is fine by me as it is your perogative as you quite rightly said, but please dont start on me for praising people, players, club etc as that is also my right is it not?

I'm sorry Alan but it was your post that started this off.It WAS a dig at me & that was obvious.Joseba & Alex just followed suit. You insulted me so why not get insulted back.Again I will say & do as I please. If you dont like it "tough".I will probably apologise later as I that is the kind of person I am but for now, coming home to replys of that nature have really got my blood boiling. Can you really & truly blame me?

Of course I took it personally. It WAS personal & you know it was so dont make out it wasnt. There is something you could do & that would be to apologise for even bringing it up in the first place,in that because we decide to opt for a more competitive game eleswhere we are not contributing to this club or are indeed intending not to by doing so.Look at the whole picture before you put people down for those reasons.
