You're missing the point Hotspur, the further you are away from Slough the more you lose your identity. I have no interest whatsoever in any groundshare deal as that's for the directors of both clubs to sort out, the point is the higher up the ladder you go the more the expense is for the club so if you start with nothing you can't expect to get much for it! If you've got a million put it into the infrastructure, a ground is forever whereas players come and go!

Yeah. but we did have a choice Woody between Windsor and Maidenhead for this season. I was one of the few pushing for Maidenhead. That is no way based on the relationship we have had with the people of Windsor it was simply based on the stadium.

 

Slag Meadow is not a football stadium it is a field with fences and a few seats. None of the atmosphere generated stays within the ground it all drifts off into the ether.

 

I hate watching football at Windsor but go because that is were my team currently ply their dubious trade. I look forward to away games simply because I think the atmosphere will be better as we will almost certainly be playing in a more enclosed stadium unless it is Chelmsford or Walton.

Yes someone leaked it, but surely as fans w would actively be lookign for information...

 

If we got more regular information people wouldnt feel the need to try to find out stories and stick them on here...

 

Fans will always want to know how their club is getting on and news, If i was walking in Slough and overheard Roy on the phone talking to a manager giving them the job, id sure as hell post it on here.

Again like Hotspur you're missing the point I made altogether in favour of a chance at slagging off Windsor. Hotspur was suggesting that Deaner stopped throwing money at a lost cause by increasing the money he should throw at a lost cause! My suggestion was that if he had that amount of money available it would be better to put that towards a new ground rather than on players from whom you get no return in the long run. The only opinion you've offered on the subject in question is that Slag [sic] Meadow is a shithole - that's why it never ceases to amaze me at the committment of the Board and Trust when it's people like you they have to try and please!

No Windsor Sec you are missing the point: I would be happier if we played elsewhere.

 

I also think if we were playing elsewhere ideally back in the Borough we would be getting bigger crowds and would hopefully have a bigger budget and be playing better football. Ergo things would be better.

You'd be surprised just how much! Most Sundays, National Championships and other major finals, in fact it's earnt me quite a bit of money over the years. And I'm qualified to teach with it as well!
