We all made our point on every decision by voting in a board to handle these decisions on our behalf as, like some people say, we dont all have the time or knowledge to take them ourselves.

It states on the notice of AGM that the society members have the ability to re-appoint six members of the board. In this instance, we haven't elected them yet.

There are regular supporter's meetings (used to be at The Downs.... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" />) like mini/informal AGM's where the board update the members, the manager gives his report on the playing side, and questions are taken from the floor.

Seems pretty good to me.

I have no Interest in being a member ,I'm not interested in all the political bull I just want to watch a game of football and thats all ,I have no Interest in what brimsdown do or dont do . So what your saying is you have to be a member to know what the Inner circle want us to know.

The Board (not an inner circle, that is a joke from this forum) are accountable to the members that elected them. This is reflected through elections and meetings such as I have described, where questions can be put to the Board. Sometimes information given is confidential and those present are asked not to take it outside the meeting. Obviously you have to be a member to attend a member's meeting. That does not seem unreasonable to me, and I cannot think of a parallel thath does not work in a similar way.

 

If you wish to remain as a supporter but not a member, that is fine. As someone has said, of course we need supporters i.e. paying customers. But your post is contradictory: you say have no interest in "political bull" (whatever that is) and that you "just want to watch a game of football and that's all" and yet you seem to want to know something that you believe an "inner circle" (presumably the elected Board) do not want anyone else to know. If you are happy just watching the football, what's the problem? You can't have it both ways.

There is a Board - correct. Why can't there be an Inner Circle that believes they are the more senior members of the Board?
