I think it's a fantastic result. They showed some of their potential against us as we could only win 2-1 with a penalty in the last minute. Nice people though, chairman seems like a decent sort of chap.

To score nine against anyone is a good result even more so away from home.

I quite agree. Didn't Rhodes just mention on another thread, less than an hour ago, that he had let go of the past (or words to that effect)? Yet here he is, still getting a dig in against a club he still claims to have support for.

I do support Haringey Borough as everybody knows full well and am more saddened than anybody else by today's horrific result which must be the worst in the Club's 99 year history. If any good is to come of the result, if that's possible, it will hopefully signal the resignation of Aki 'Sugar' Achillea who is clearly well past his sell be date.

Have to say that Haringey were one of the most friendly clubs we have played.

The lady behind the bar had no stock (not expecting any away supporters).So she asked what people wanted and went to the cash and carry to get it !

The other people we met at Haringey were they same all polite and friendly despite getting beat 9-0 !

puts the clubs like Brook House to shame in how to treat the visiting team..

1 consolation for Harringey the barmaid said she took £190 behind the bar, she told us she usualy takes £30.

 

I have to agree this was the most friendly place that I have visited. The supporters of Hertford were even given a big tray of sandwich rolls after the game.

Not that our supporters are big drinkers or anything...

How many pubs did you visit before the match Manic?

Just the 1 before the game, we went back to that pub after the game but we were told that there was no draught beers left because they had a busy afternoon, so we left and went to the off licence and got back to Hertford to meet up with Coops and Dave Greenwood etc. a great day in all.

I bet a few Pirates are still in the Stevenage IBIS at the moment.

Manics - I didn't say that you were making advances to Josie, how would I know as I wasn't there but that's just the impression I got from previous posts and from reading between the lines, I thought that you were propping the bar up most of the afternoon even whilst the game was going on and that you missed some of the nine goals.
