good win today & a clean sheet, dull 1st half but came good in the end, new guy didnt have the best of games, dont think we need any more midfielders as we could have given omar or cahill a go,

i thought the new guy gave us a ball winner in midfield which helped but there can be no doubt taht terry o conner changed the game for us.he played well against hanwell as well so maybe its time that he gets a start?

A new signing straight in the line up, what does that say to others who are not even on the bench[Reedy,Dan }also Cahill and Omar especially after the Hanwell performance. The new guy had a very poor game ,gave penalty away, caught in possesion a number of times, poor passer of short ball and not a good passer of a long ball, but very enthusiastic and kept geeing others up that he failed to do himself. On that performanse will not hold his place, OK a win is a win but the spirit will dwindle when manager has all his squad back {Will,Coyne,Case Little} and lads are not included. Other clubs must be looking at fringe players,Im sure BSYCOB would welcome a few on that performance. See what happens Tuesday and in next cup game.

id like to put emphasis upon the fact that apart from reedy all the other players are reserves or outer fringe players. somebody from a higher league will walk into most teamsat this level because they are that tiny bit better than others.

Don't think he was outstandingly better than what we have but give him a bloody chance! Quite why some fans think we should be out classing every team i do not know! We won 3-0 at a stroll with afew key players out! What else do you want!? Sure it took a while but sometimes that's what you need. we didn't panic and our class outshone them in the end

I think you miss the point for a player that has been at Southern league to drop to this level you would have thought he would be class act,but im afraid not only time will tell. He was at Maidenhead preseason training but no offers.

If he had no offers how come he was registered for Maidenhead, surely you don't sign someone you're not interested in?

In many respects I thought Saturday's game told us a lot more about our squad than the games we have seen lately. We knew from the Hanwell game that players coming in know the system which is already a vast improvement on last season and it was obvious that Beaconsfield came to spoil our normal open free-passing game by shutting down quickly and getting their tackles in. Because of this a young side like ours may have panicked a bit and rushed around like headless chickens trying to match the opposition but instead they calmed down, played the game they've been coached to do and patiently waited for the chances to come their way which is exactly what happened towards the end when Beaconsfields' efforts in the first hour saw them running out of steam whilst we got stronger.

Saturday was always going to be interesting without Coyne in the side and to be honest we could have played the new boy, Dan, Omar or Edge in his position and probably got the same result. Simon will make these decisions throughout the season and the time to question him is when they go wrong and not when you've won 3-0 in a game where we kept our first league clean sheet this season [thanks to Sam's penalty save I might add].

It's a simple fact but most of our players will by now have earned their places in the starting line-up in Simons' eyes and others will be on the fringes waiting to get a chance and it's that competition for places that will keep everyone at the club competitive. If players leave because they're not getting a game you have to question whether that's the type of player you want in the present squad although, having said that, I've certainly not heard any grumblings from the players who have not been picked so perhaps it's not even an issue!

Someone mentioned Will, Coyne and Case to come back in but there's also Ursell as well, so competition for places will be tough and players will have to grab their chance whenever they get it. In my view that's a great situation to be in and I'm sure the players see it that way as well.

What's important now is to turn that promise into consistent results so let's see what the next few games bring starting with Winchester tommorrow night.

I'd say we could still do with more cover up front, because although we've seen we've got some players who can and will fire crackers from the edge of the box (bows to Coyne and Dolan especially), Chennels especially must be running himself into the ground every game and we don't want him injured, especially now everyone's seen how well he combines with Terry! I did like how as soon as Chennels scored on Sat, he went over to clap Terry on the back... shows good team spirit.

I'd also like to see more resilience at the back - more clean sheets - though Will should help there, and Reid also.

At least we only have one problem on the RW now... assuming they're all fit and on form, who to leave out from Case, Ursell, Terry and Porter... nice decision.

think porter is a striker anyway, but filling in in midfield, as we saw with dave warner last season. gonna be a headache when we get all midfielders back, but as steve said, a great headache to have with the amount of quality players we have to play in midfield.

I was particularly impreseed by Beaconsfield's short corner routine:

Play it short to the edge of the box, striker slips up, Terry takes it off him, runs eighty yards and crosses for the opening Windsor goal. Totally unexpected!

Let's see more of this from every team in the division except us!
