Because then being armed with the true facts you wont get it wrong and if their is a real problem it can be sorted out before potential fans, players or sponsors get affected by it.

So I'm really confused here. I know I've been very busy over the past few months, so have I missed the news announcing our relocation somewhere? Asuming I haven't, then why is the question of what happens to the seats such a vital burning issue now? If QE2, or anywhere else for that matter, becomes available, it will be a number of years before we could play football there. The time to debate moving fixtures & fittings would be when then happens, not now. At the moment all this debate will do is strain relations with our landlords, based on what someone at EFC may have said, and I'm sure (s)he has ETFC's best interests at heart.

 

On another note, about this 'inner circle' that is in the know. Have you asked any of the board a direct question face to face and not received a direct answer? There will always be things that cannot be for public consumption, no matter how open a club we are. Overheads, wages and transfers spring to mind immediately. If you are miffed that you are not privvy to such information, then stand for election at the AGM. If you don't wish to stand, then please don't bleat that you don't know everthing that is going on.

 

And before anyone jumps to a the wrong conclusion, no, I'm not a board member, just a supporter who's very puzzled about this thread.

My point is not that you are spreading the rumour.But that you believed it (rightly or wrongly),but you seem unwilling to accept another rumour(which came from ,i believe, the same source at the first.)

Also,why would i feel the need to speak to one board member in person.When i can communicate with three or four on here, AND keep the ordinary fan updated at the same time.

From now on.I'm going to keep quite about everything (which is a pity becuase i have some good sources at Enfield council and at various other sites of interest).If doing so harms the club and its future stability and progess.So be it.It seems any information i give is not apppreciated (simply because i choose to make it public rather than keep it within the circle).

A few months ago,i stopped any political chat because of other peoples attitudes.Then i stopped all communication with EFC fans because of peoples attitudes.Now i will stop passing on any relivent information that could be useful to our club.

I may just give this forum a miss altogether.

I am not a board member but the idea about the board dealing with matters insteaed of putting them on a public forum is so that things can be sorted out for the benefit of OUR club with out tipping off any other club about anything what is available or going on.

I agree.And would hopefully never put out information that would have a negative effect on our club.I believe what i said will only clarify our position.And IF the rumours were true,its good that those saying certain things,and those passing it on,know that people at the Town are aware of what they have been saying.

 

It may curb in the future certain people from talking about Town affairs between themselves.Who knows?

Lovely Stuff, I don't mind anybody saying what they want on this forum. Especially when it comes to team selection. This is what these boards are about. I don't even mind you telling me about the rumours you have heard. But if I hear a rumour I don't like I speak to someone on the board. I find Mr Bryant very approachable and I'm sure if you have any concerns he will be more than willing to talk to you.

 

If i'm right we have a Society meeting coming up anyway. So why not raise it then.

Yes Chairman Dave Bryant is always very approachable & willing to listen to comments.

I believe the meeting is on Thursday 26th October in the Lounge Bar at Brimmo 8.00pm, but you have to be a Member to be able to attend.

Anyway.It seems no one was interested or appreciated being informed of information on here anyway.So i will now cease any talk about (or show any interest) in clubs affairs, on this forum or anywhere else.

 

I will still put up scores and happily discuss team selection/tactics on here.But i will take no further part in the club as a whole (who runs it,how it is run, what progress we are making off the field..etc).

You do not have to.

 

Assuming that the constitution permits questions to be asked from the floor in open forum (many AGM rules require that the Hon Sec be notified of questions prior to the AGM for inclusion in the Agenda - I do not have my copy of our constitution to hand) you simply ask for confirmation that the stands belong to ETFC and could be relocated in the event that the club plays somewhere else. No need to mention our hosts.

 

To be honest I am more concerned about getting a copy of the minutes, as I will unable to attend but would like to know how we are progressing.
