Other than Canvey and Chelsea, (mainly due to my parents) the other team I used to be interested in was Major League Soccer's 'Miami Fusion' however in 2001 the league was restructured from 12 teams to 10 so they and 'Tampa Bay Mutiny' had to fold.

surprised not to see Tilly's boys or even Chelski not included on the poll - thought they'd get a few votes. Equally Im not surprised to see that the Spuds and West Ham and joint top by volume of support - apart from those who have immigrated to South East Essex, our culture is that of the East End (Yids & 'Ammers) - and long may that remain.

Must admit its times like this I enjoy the wider aspects of non league footy. 3 weeks ago at the Hornchurch away cup game I felt totally 'united' with my fellow canvey brethen (disliked those urchin ratbags) and hated those moronic wind ups on our chat boards. Then last night my own beloved Hammers take a pasting, there are idiots gloating about it on (....hang on a minute) my beloved CIFC message board - yet where do I find consolation ? Ironically on the Hx message board. The realms of contradiction sit easy with me though. I guess its no different to when England play - we're all in it together.

Come On you IRON GULLS

Fort William, Scottish Highland League. Quality. They finished bottom of their league for about the last 2 Seasons. Lovely Ground though, right next to Ben Nevis.

LOS - "Equally Im not surprised to see that the Spuds and West Ham and joint top by volume of support - apart from those who have immigrated to South East Essex, our culture is that of the East End (Yids & 'Ammers) - and long may that remain."

That takes me back to the early 80's when Canvey based SUFC & WHUFC used to have running battles at Benfleet station normally 6pm on a saturday. Some Scum fans did turn over a few Blues (inc me) outside the 'new' Knightswick Centre at about 11pm after returning from Roots Hall when the 2 sides met in the League Cup.

I HATE WEST HAM

Cornish Gull - its your legitimate right to hate WHU. Im merely suggesting the majority of people around here dont. (watch now you get a few saying "I do")

Nice part of the world you live in btw. Have been visiting Newquay regularly since late 80's, several times each year in fact. Always thought it'd be ace for Newquay AFC to draw the CIFC in a cup game - thats gotta be further (and far more pleasant) than when we went upto Carlisle (now look at those guys ascend thru the leagues)

We were unfortunate to bump into St Blazey in the FA Cup Prelim Rnd this season (they had won the South Western League 5 years running until last season) but ran them close.

Crowd at Mount Wise was 250 and 291 at Blaise Park for the replay - not too bad for a rugby biased county.

Unless we manage to squeak through to the 2nd Qual Rnd, we won't meet - regionalisation keeps the Bristol based clubs in charge. But yeah I'd love it one day - we did draw with Saffron Walden Town and lost the replay in Essex in the VASE some years back.

In all serious my other team is West Ham.

Have a liking for Barcelona, AC Milan, Gretna and Celtic.

Also keep an eye out on Hornchurch and St Albans' results.

I always keep an eye open for Southend, West Ham and Ipswich Town.

It's strange, as a kid I was brought up a mile from Upton Park with a family all supporting the Hammers - but with my old man not being around due to work I was never taken along to a "real game" at Upton Park when I was a nipper. So instead like a lot of kids I felt a fondness for a club whose kit I liked and badge I thought was real class - Ipswich Town. They were a top side then and my hero when kicking a ball around the back streets was Trevor Whymark run a close second by Mick Mills.

Away from English football I have an affection for Cologne (Koln)in the Bundesliga

The common factor seems to be that any club I have an affection for rapidly starts to go down the pan
