esl officials prejudiced against eton manor

Recommended Posts

could anyone explain why?we were sharing a joke and having a laugh between the two benches when this official came and asked them "what's going on fellas"? nobody booked, two mistimed tackles in all game and you still get officials coming and having a go at them for litterally and i mean "litterally nothing".i think prejudice is the right word! may be a positive approach from the referees could help...have a think about

At last...are you reading Romford fans!!!!!

Someone else saying what we hav been saying for ages!

Great to meet you Coachie and your young guys out fought us. Simple as that! Thanks for the support. I thought hthe officials were bad but not as bad as we have had. The young linesman was crap and thought he was the business the other guy wasn't too bad. BUT the ref was crap. When both teams say so and one of them as won then surely they need to look at themselves. I'm not being funny but there was great banter between the benches and we didn't do or say anything to the ref. We said hello and shook hands before the game but then he proceeded to be an absolute mug! Including lying about the foul which left our player with a bad injury. I don't blame the player it was a 50/50 and he didn't go in two footed, maybe a bit high but that wasn't my gripe. It was the fact the ref blew after this tackle, not before and then said he blew for a foul before whcih no one saw. He then said the tackle was ok but our player was in agony.

Anyway on to Saturday!

The players & management have been saying the same all season we have had some real awful referees this season & they all seem to go against us - if anyone has an explanation / thoery as to why then please do express your opinion. We are not blaming the referees for our defeats we can except we have been beaten by better teams we just don't understand why we are consistently on the wrong end off inept referees & assistant referees decisions. Anybody explain??

I'll explain - cos all the referees at ESL level are the little kids who got picked last during PE lessons, have NEVER played the game, know nothing about football etc etc and being a Ref is their only sad little comfort in life.

This way, they get to act like little Hitlers, treat people like sh1t and take their ball home at the end thinking they are the bollox !!

[****!!****]! collina went through some tough fitness tests at regular intervals.the fred blogs of the esl wouldn't pass a cooper or leger test they should come to our clubs and train with the players, refereeing the games at the end.if anyone of them wants to come to hullbridge every thursday he's more than welcome..

if you means that it hides the fat,i agree with you anyway,on saturday we had the mountie as a referee and bradshaw as a lino and they did ok(tackher words were they could do better).the invitation for all referees to come training with the bridge boys is still on and every esl club should do the same, inviting the referees that are local to them to their training sessions.they will get to know well and learn to have more respect for each other.i'm really serious about and the county ref association should think about it.

Now that is a really good idea and one that should be implemented. Are you aware that your refs have to do a fitness test before the season ?

fitness tests should be done at regular intervals(once a month)but what they lack of it's the practice and the personality to deal with us sharks at this level.training with the players and refereeing them in training will go a long way to help them overcome those problems.i'm sure that the players will have more respect for them as well.

I brought up this idea last season and I think its a great idea. Not only do the refs get fitter but they can get to know players, managers, coaches etc and then maybe there will be a mutual respect.

Until the ref give a pen against you then it all goes pear shaped.
