Are Brentwood Town any good? I see from the league table they are second. I heard they have a striker called Carl Griffiths? who is scoring a few for them, I think he is an ex league player.

We have them next Sat in the Vase, so just wanted to get any info I could on them.

As a neutral, and despite the score only being 1-0,I was quite impressed by the Brentwood Town line-up which seems intact and looks very strong , at Southend last Saturday. Carl Griffiths is not a poacher but distributes the ball with infinite ease amongst his fellow players of which Tommy Lee also looks hungry. Having said all that, young John Easterford of Southend Manor did an excellent job of marking the Welsh wizard having received a rather nasty knock early in the game. As for the Vase, I am very hopeful indeed of Brentwood Town doing the League proud whoever they meet. In the meantime, up the Boro' on Saturday !!

How are things looking for ETFC? I keep hearing tales about the ground having been sold for development and only a couple of years left to find a new home.

My guess is that becoming a tenant of Wealdstone would offer the best prospect for facilities, but the least likely to happen with someone else looking to move in with them in the future.

We have a new five year lease on the ground. Barnet FC have come in with an offer to buy the proposed new home for wealdstone fc from Harrow Council and lease it back to Wealdstone.

Barnet intend to play all their teams except their first team at the stadium. There is provision for a smaller stadium on the same site that could be Edgware's home, BUT this would have to be shared with several other youth clubs and we would not have a clubhouse, which would mean it would be very hard to stay in buisness.
