Ruhanen has just completed his degree in engineering at the end of last year. He was studying at Häme Polytechnic (http://www.hamk.fi/in-english/degree.htm). They have premisies at several location, but I suppose that Ruhanen studied at Valkeakoski (http://www.valkeakoski.hamk.fi/

) and there are following degree programmes:

There is also a programme for International Business at Häme Polytechnic (http://valtek.hamk.fi/bbi/) but I think that it is for the foreign students only. I think that Ruhanen has studied either Automation Engineering or Industrial Management and Engineering,

Finnish playes are generally quite well-educated. Good example of that is Finnish International Mixu Paatelainen (http://www.soccerbase.com/footballlive/?MIval=players_details&playerid=6054) who has combined studies and soccer playing during his career. Even his father Matti Paatelainen, who also was a Finnish International, completed his doctoral degree at University level when moved from soccer career to normal working life.

I know of one Bsc and a probable BA hons in the team with at least three of the players being lecturers or teachers

well there would always be teachers in the team.. thats the only job with enough free time to have a seperate football career ;-)

I saw Rudi out shopping today with his wife in Canvey Woolworths (I know, I couldn't believe it myself!) You don't get too many Finnish internationals in there! Also saw him in Somerfields by the wine section!

Nice to know he is settling in well and sampling the delights that Canvey has to offer. Who needs to go to Lakeside or Bluewater when you can shop on Canvey!

 

P.S His wife was blonde but I don't know about busty.

An afternoon stroll, possibly window shopping along Canvey High St, a little detour through Woolworths eh! Followed by lunch in the Jellicoe perhaps. What a smoothie. You never lose the ol' charm. Seems like a lucky girl to me.
