Was a truly great sporting moment and what i saw of it it was conducted in total sportmanship.Credit goes to both sides for the way they conducted themselves when other sports are forgetting how to play fair.Thought the touch by mcginley to half the whole at the end summed it all up.

absolutely. he and woosnam knew that the spirit of the competition necessitated a gesture on the scale that mcginley did. the fact that woosnam was more impressed with his gesture than the record winning margin he equalled and could have beaten speaks volumes for the welsh people. and the irish...

 

just couldn't get there with the whole "go yoorup" thing.. seemed too american...

 

speaking of which... post "we are the mighty mighty yoorup" chants, i remember mcginley say that it was toimes like these made him proud to be oirish.
