i think his pace could be a massive asset at left midfield. he can beat people which i dont think we do enough in wide areas

He does beat people. Plus I don't see the logic in dropping people after they've just had a decent game.

bourne was ok at ware not decent, what about his back pass that was short that blewer and wiseman had to cover for and his covering was poor all game, goin forward he was ok but ran the ball off the pitch a few time but defending was poor, and as a left back his first job is to defend

Granted, but I still think he's a better player than Crow.

He certainly wouldn't be my first choice left back. But seeing as he's had experience at a higher level, left midfield is something he could easily make his own. Him and Corbell, plus Jay and Roberts each competing for a place on each side, makes for healthy competition and desire to do well.

Good point, a left back should always defend first and i dont think Bourne does this. His positional sense isnt the best and takes too many risks. thats why i see him better at left mid. Great energy and pace, can cross well and has the speed to recover.

 

i dont think he's in the same league as Crow though. Crow reads the game well and his distrition is immaculate.

I would rather see Chris in midfield anyway, partly because he's not fantastic at defending and partly because on left-mid he'd have more freedom going forward.

I'd agree with that Ribbit. I'd like to see him have a run of games on the left for us. Could score a few too!!
